Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Support

In 1993, Dr. Dyan began working with patients with chronic fatigue syndrome and with other fatigue and energy issues in the medical office of a prominent holistic Internist, Allergist and Immunologist. After getting her Ph.D. with an emphasis in health psychology and mind-body-spirit dynamics, she began her private psychotherapy practice with a specialty in hypnosis.

She uses different therapy techniques to suit each individual including interpersonal therapy, mindfulness, mind-body therapies, hypnosis, and Somatic Experiencing®. She views symptoms as the body’s metaphoric language such that the symptoms themselves can be seen not as an enemy but rather as guides and signposts towards healing and greater sources of insight.

Dr. Dyan has a nuanced understanding of the importance of regulating, supporting, and strengthening the body’s natural energy cycle to increase daytime alertness and improve the quality and quantity of sleep. Doing so allows the body to heal more deeply and supports immune system recovery.
